Mount Achasan is 287 km high and stretches from Seoul to the town of Guri. Its gentle slopes make it a popular hiking site for the inhabitants of Guri and the local residents. After a 40-minute walk, walkers arrive in sight of the Han River and Seoul. At the time of the Joseon Dynasty, the mountains now known as Mount Bonghwa, Manguri Cemetery and Mount Yongma were part of Mount Achasan.
